MAGEFUND / 2131

Why “mage”?

A mage is one person directing an ensemble of agents and machines under their own name and their own registry entry. The ensemble may be large; the judgment is singular.

In 2130s Xigang, “mage” became a name for a person directing licensed agents and machines under their own name and registry entry, with work that looked like magic to others. Blocs sought them out separately. Wren Okonjo and Tomas Ibarra-Lind founded MageFund in the Xigang free port in 2131: backing people, not ensembles, so they did not have to choose a side.

Current partners: Wren Okonjo, Halcyon Reyes and Mei-Ling Adebayo.
